Course Overview
Apt for professionals in emergency medical care, emergency medical responder certification prepares you to provide pre-hospital care. You will gain the knowledge and skills needed for appropriate patient assessments, interventions, and ongoing care, including the transportation of a patient to a healthcare facility.
Emergency medical responder course will help you gain knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate patient assessment and basic care. Upon successful completion, students should be able to:
- Be confident in taking patient’s vital.
- Observe or monitor patients’ status and document patient care.
- Administer first aid in emergency situations and perform other procedures as directed by nursing staff.
- Perform maintenance, cleaning and sterilization of equipment. Also, setting-up and operating job-related equipment.
