What Will You Study?
Our comprehensive and hands-on training program focuses on handling the emergency, medical, trauma and psychological situations along with patient communication, critical thinking and decision making skills training.
- Anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and clear understanding of critical medical terminology required to perform primary care paramedic duties.
- Operational, legal, ethical and psycho-social aspects of being a paramedic.
- Administer pre-hospital emergency care to patients such as CPR, spinal immobilization, oxygen therapy, bandaging and secure splinting.
- Successfully establish and maintain intravenous treatment (IV), administer medications, apply adjunctive equipment for ventilation and circulation.
- Safe patient transport and collaboration with family members and hospital staff to ensure the right treatment is administered.
- Perform administrative duties and maintain ambulance and emergency care equipment and supplies.
